Dill is popular for everyday cooking in Europe, the Middle East and in Asia. Dill weed is delicate and tastes grassy with a bit of anise-licorice flavor. Dill works well with eggs, salads, buttermilk, breads, and other baked goods, vegetable and bean dishes, braised food, soups and stews. Dill weed will lose flavor the longer it is cooked, so it should be added towards the end of cooking.
